ILL SEEN

Ill Seen unfolds like a hastily scribbled first impression — imperfect, fleeting, and raw. It captures the unspoken, overlooked gestures of adolescence — movements not eager to be seen, valued, or understood. Immersed in an eerie, surreal atmosphere, the work explores the liminal space between youth and adulthood, where impermanence and uncertainty define existence.

Composed of documentary footage from various locations in Russia, Ill Seen reflects the transient nature of youth, caught between fleeting moments and an uncertain future. It lingers on the thresholds of identity, memory, and perception, where what is seen is often elusive, and what remains unseen shapes the experience of growing up.
